Notes
Originally a one-story auto-repair shop, now converted to apartment. This 2350 sq ft apartment has 11′ ceilings, exposed brick, poured concrete surfaces and steel windows throughout. Completed in 2015, the building mixes industry standard materials with architectural salvage finds and, with its variety of high-end interior finishes, this space has a uniquely textured, designer loft-like feel.
Downstairs you will find an open-plan living room which has a wood-burning fireplace, a large kitchen area with a central island that seats 4, and adjoining dining room – flooded with natural light from steel casement windows and skylight. Here, the steel doors open onto a private garden with 20′ high ivy-covered brick walls, planted flowerbeds, festoon lights, a picnic table + benches and a grill. The ground floor also has two office spaces and a powder room.
Upstairs – all beautifully lit by large windows – is a spacious master bedroom with grass cloth-covered walls, an en-suite bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a balcony leading down to the garden. The spacious interior hallway leads to a guest bathroom and guest bedroom.
Our furnishings are an eclectic mix of art deco, mid-century modern and contemporary.
We have heated concrete floors downstairs, reclaimed wood floors upstairs and 2 working wood-burning fireplaces.
Our apartment entrance is located on the ground floor with easy street access – a slope to the front door makes loading in and out super easy – and one off-street parking space. Street parking is free.
