3,000 square foot triplex apartment in a 1901 Renaissance Revival brownstone in a landmarked neighborhood of Crown Heights on a super block designed by IM Pei. Home retains many historic details, including 5 decorative fireplaces, bay windows, French shutters, French doors, pocket doors, pier mirrors, parquet floors, wainscoting, skylights, and picture molding in various rooms. Most walls are white or light grey, making it easy to style. Decor is modern but cozy. The home has a modern eat-in kitchen with marble island, 3.5 bathrooms, 1 dining room, 1 living room, 3 bedrooms (primary room, baby room, guest suite) and an office.
The apartment is 20 ft wide and layout is as follows: 1st floor: entryway, living room (more formal with architectural features), dining room, eat-in kitchen; 2nd floor: baby room with en-suite bathroom, primary bedroom with en-suite bathroom; 3rd floor: office and guest suite – bedroom/TV room/bathroom. The bedroom on the top floor has skylights and offers a second living room option in the guest suite.
Property includes an architect-designed backyard as well as a front garden and stoop. Front and back facades of home were recently restored.
Restrictions:
Prefer smaller crews; no more than 50 people max.
No loud noise after 10pm or before 7am per NYC noise ordinance laws. No shooting after 12am.
Floor protection required; please bring shoe covers. Please put on fresh booties or new socks (ones not worn already in other areas of home) in our baby’s bedroom. Important to not track a lot of dust or dirt into the baby bedroom.
Top floor Muuto couch can only be used with extreme care. Any damage of furniture or fabrics need to be repaired or replaced by production. Beds can be used but only with linens and pillows provided by production.
Some furniture is attached to wall for child safety – all child safety features must be put back exactly as found. Some windows have window guards and locks and must be put back as found. If baby gate needs to be removed, please make sure production puts gates back as found, and do not damage wood of staircase in doing so.
No nailing into walls. Requests to paint walls must be approved in advance; if approved, walls must be returned to original condition.
Prefer no catering inside.
Please note all fireplaces are decorative only and productions should not try to turn them on (to avoid gas leaks).
Owner requests that all identifying markers of the house (address, name on mail box) be removed in post production if shooting exterior front.
