Notes
Situated in beautiful rolling hills of the Mid Hudson Valley, 2.5 lush, green acres center around the Prow Front Post and Beam House built in the mid 70’s. Light floods through large south facing windows and skylights throughout the day. Minimal design dictates the loft like openness of the living area with its 25′ cathedral ceiling emphasizing stunning views of the surrounding grounds and two ponds.
The rooms are furnished with both modern and vintage pieces keeping a lightness and ease around the house. The simple, open kitchen has a concrete counter top island facing the dining area. Two large decks let you enjoy the outdoors from an elevated standpoint, almost like a tree house.
In the wintertime, a sleek Scandinavian wood burning fireplace keeps the house warm.
While one pond is kept a serene place in front of a backdrop of ferns and trees, the other is being transitioned into a natural spring fed swim pond. In the wintertime it freezes over to turn into a perfect ice skating rink.
The surroundings are quiet and private and there are stunning locations nearby to venture to as well.
The property is filled with natural backdrops and has manicured as well as rugged areas, including old sheep farm stone walls.
Nearby locations, like the Ashokan Reservoir and the Peekamoose Blue Hole, Minnewaska State Park and the historic Town of StoneRidge are an easy 20 minutes drive away.
Basic equipment, such as steamer, racks and some stands are available on site.
