As of Feb 2015, Mostly Empty Space Now – Scouting is recommended.
Space has heat, has AC units, 2,000 sq ft, 14f t ceilings, great light, arched windows 10 ft high and 13 ft wide.
Arched windows, wood ceiling, cinder block wall, cement floor, French doors, pipes, studio, fire escape.
Entrance is at the freight area, not in the main building front.
To get up on the loading dock is a climb, no stairs, so heels are not recommended.
Some work is being done soon; walls painted that were white, distressed walls will remain same, ceiling will remain same, new kitchen, shower and tub removed, etc.
Windows of frosted glass will be replaced in future to look cleaner.
Some props available — including an old steamer trunk, a painters box, a turn of the century sitting room couch, folding bleacher seats, some small tables, a remington ammunition box, a giant steel and wood pulley, and a beat up persian rug. Things get moved around so please ask if still available.
Equipment available to rent:
Avenger C Stands with arms, sand bags, arms, clamps, and apple boxes.
Restrictions:
Freight is only for gear, people have to walk up stairs.
Motor home for large shoots recommended, or holding spaces in same building may be rented.
Parking Lot: commercial building, first come first serve, freight elevator is used by commercial spaces as well, sometimes can be busy (no roof access).
Work area, usually off limits unless requested, corner of white room next to radiator (50 sq ft).
Exteriors are additional fees for shooting and must be cleared in advance.
