Scouting mandatory – space changes often, some rooms get painted, repaired, etc.
Some areas in the building are off-limits, but the areas shown are (unless specifically noted) available.
Textured ceiling, detailed ceilings, chandeliers, built-in bookshelves, library, dark wood, parquet floors, tall windows, marble columns, wrought iron doors, crown molding, French doors, large patio, open rooms, storage rooms, pedestal sink, distressed walls in some rooms, unfinished rooms, phone booths, classrooms, chalkboards, large yard, fountain, gated entrance, outside pool, gazebo, statues, multiple bathroom stalls and urinals
Indoor pool (no water), elevator has restrictions, there are bathrooms on 1st floor and 2nd floor for use, motor-home is recommended
Restrictions:
No air conditioning – there is heat but the space is so vast that additional heaters are recommended
Not much furniture in house, just a few chairs, couches and tables
Generator recommended – lots of outlets and only 25 amps in each so can not plug two things in one, fuses blow , best to bring a box to plug into, extension cords
The doors and windows in the lobby, library and parlor cannot be opened
Use of back porch is not permitted at present – there is some loose plaster
The basement is not always available for shoots, the carriage house is not always available, and the school is not always available, must request and clear
Permits are mandatory for all shoots from City of Yonkers, and a fire marshal may be required as well, 5 days in advance for permit advised
